Randy's reminds me of short order restaurants I visited in the 60s - like the Ashland Bus Depot. It is spacious and clean with an old look. There are two storefronts of tables, booths, and counter seating. Featured are breakfasts with hashbrowns or American fries, lunch sandwiches, burgers, and dinners with/meat/starch/vegetable selections. Several fruit pies cost less than in other Duluth restaurants. My favorite meal is hamburger patty with eggs, American fries, toast and peanut butter, coffee, and apple juice. I add blackberry jam or cinnamon apple jam to my peanut butter toast, and I finish with strawberry rhubarb pie. The waitresses are greeting, friendly and attentive.
